The first pictures from “Constellation,” a new eight-part psychological thriller drama with a conspiracy theme that stars Noomi Rapace (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” “You Won’t Be Alone”) and Jonathan Banks, an Emmy Award nominee (“Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul”), were released today by Apple TV+. Written and directed by Peter Harness (“Wallander,” “The War of the Worlds,” “Doctor Who”), the film also starred Julian Looman (“Emily in Paris,” “The Mallorca Files”), Barbara Sukowa (“Voyager,” “Hannah Ardendt”), James D’Arcy (“Agent Carter,” “Oppenheimer”), William Catlett (“A Thousand and One,” “The Devil You Know”), and introduced Rosie and Davina Coleman as Alice. “Constellation,” which is helmed by Emmy Award winner Michelle MacLaren (“Shining Girls, “The Morning Show,” “Breaking Bad”), Oscar nominee Oliver Hirschbiegel (“Downfall,” “The Experiment”), and Oscar nominee Joseph Cedar (“Footnote,” “Our Boys”), will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Thereafter, one episode will air each week until March 27.

In the movie “Constellation,” Rapace plays Jo, an astronaut who survives a space accident and returns to Earth only to find that important aspects of her past are gone. The thrilling space adventure delves into the shadowy corners of human psyche, following a desperate woman’s attempts to uncover the truth about the covert space journey past and reclaim what she has lost.

The show is executive produced by David Tanner (“Small Axe”), Tracey Scoffield (“Small Axe”), Caroline Benjo (“No Man’s Land”), Simon Arnal (“No Man’s Land”), Carole Scotta (“No Man’s Land”), and Justin Thomson (“Liaison”). Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV are the producers. For MacLaren Entertainment, MacLaren directs the first two episodes and co-executive produces with Rebecca Hobbs (“Shining Girls”) and Jahan Lopes. Harness employs Haunted Barn Ltd. to executive produce. Daniel Hetzer (“Munich – Edge of War”) served as the series producer for Turbine Studios in Germany, where the majority of the show was filmed.
