First Look Images & Trailer: MGM+’s HOTEL COCAINE
Hotel Cocaine tells the captivating tale of Roman Compte, a Cuban exile who becomes the general manager of The Mutiny Hotel, the vibrant hub of the Miami cocaine scene during the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. The Mutiny Hotel was an exhilarating blend of the exotic and the energetic. The hotel and its glitzy nightclub and restaurant were popular among a diverse range of individuals, including businessmen, politicians, international narcos, CIA and FBI agents, models, sports stars, and musicians. Compte was at the heart of everything, working tirelessly to keep things running smoothly and achieve his own version of the American dream.
Throughout the season, Roman finds himself caught between the DEA, who hold his daughter’s fate, and his older brother Nestor, the prominent cocaine supplier in Miami. The two protagonists must confront fierce competitors in the Colombian cocaine trade while striving to maintain their control over the drug market in Miami and protect their loved ones. Hotel Cocaine explores themes of family, brotherhood, the pursuit of the American Dream, and the lengths we go to protect our loved ones.
