The New Trailer for Lessons in Chemistry by Apple TV+ starring and executive produced by Brie Larson
The trailer for “Lessons in Chemistry,” the highly anticipated eight-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Academy Award winner Brie Larson (“Captain Marvel,” “Room”), was released today by Apple TV+. Based on novelist, science editor, and copywriter Bonnie Garmus’ best-selling novel, “Lessons in Chemistry” will make its global debut on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 13, 2023, with the first two episodes, and additional episodes will appear weekly, every Friday until November 24, 2023.
“Lessons in Chemistry” is set in the early 1950s and follows Elizabeth Zott (played by Larson), whose dream of becoming a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal culture. When Elizabeth gets dismissed from her lab, she accepts a position as a host of a cooking program on television and sets out to teach a nation of ignored women — and the men who are now listening — much more than recipes.
Starring alongside Larson are Lewis Pullman (“Top Gun: Maverick,” “Outer Range”), NAACP Image Award-winner Aja Naomi King (“How to Get Away with Murder,” “The Birth of a Nation”), Stephanie Koenig (“The Flight Attendant,” “The Offer”), Kevin Sussman (The Big Bang Theory,” “The Dropout”), Patrick Walker (“Gaslit,” “The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey”), and Thomas Mann (“Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,” “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl”).
Apple Studios creates “Lessons in Chemistry” for Apple TV+. Showrunner Lee Eisenberg (“WeCrashed,” “Little America”) is a seven-time Emmy Award nominee. Susannah Grant (“Unbelievable,” “Erin Brockovich”) co-executives with Larson, and Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman executive produce for Aggregate Films. The first two episodes are directed and executive produced by Sarah Adina Smith (“Hanna,” “Looking for Alaska”). Natalie Sandy, together with Eisenberg, executive produces through Piece of Work Entertainment. Louise Shore is also an executive producer.
