APPLE TV+’s Presumed innocent starring jake gyllenhaal
Today, Apple TV+ released the trailer for “Presumed Innocent,” an upcoming eight-part limited series. The series features Academy Award and Tony Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and is executive produced by David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams, who have won multiple Emmy Awards. In addition to Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Elizabeth Marvel, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinve, Peter Sarsgaard, and Kingston, the film is helmed by an all-star cast. The global premiere of Rumi Southwick’s “Presumed Innocent” will be available on Apple TV+. The first two episodes will air on Wednesday, June 12, and a new episode will be released every Wednesday until July 24.
The gripping series is based on Scott Turow’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name. It takes viewers on a journey through a horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office. The story revolves around one of the office’s own members who is suspected of a crime. The series delves into various themes such as obsession, sex, politics, and the boundaries of love. It follows the protagonist’s struggle to maintain the stability of his family and marriage.
“Presumed Innocent” is a creation of Bad Robot Productions and David E. Kelley Productions, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television. Bad Robot is involved in the production through a comprehensive deal. Rachel Rusch Rich and Abrams Rich are executive producers for the film Bad Robot. Kevin Kelley holds the positions of showrunner and executive producer at David E. Kelley Productions, working alongside Matthew Tinker. Executive producers Dustin Thomason, Sharr White, and Gyllenhaal are also involved in the production. Turow and Miki Johnson each hold the positions of co-executive producers. Anne Sewitsky assumes the role of executive producer and takes on the directorial responsibilities for the first two episodes and episode eight. Additionally, Greg Yaitanes, an Emmy Award-winner, serves as the executive producer and director for episodes three through seven.
