DANIELLE NICOLET, BRIAN WHITE, AND BRANDON T. JACKSON WILL STAR IN THE IMPACT NETWORK’S ORIGINAL MOVIE, THE LIFE OF ME
The Impact Network is undergoing a rebranding process, expanding its content to cater to Black audiences with family-friendly lifestyle entertainment. As part of this transition, the network has announced its first “Impact Original” movie, titled The Life of Me. Brian White, Brandon T. Jackson, and Danielle Nicolet take the lead in the Impact Network’s inaugural original movie/family romance, The Life Of Me, part of their esteemed “Impact Originals” collection. This film is paving the way for future films, as Impact aims to address the need for top-notch family entertainment that caters to Black audiences in the content industry.
The film features Brian White (ABC’s Scandal), Danielle Nicolet (CW’s The Flash), and Brandon T. Jackson (BET’s Family Business: New Orleans, Percy Jackson). It follows the journey of Marcus Banks (White), a wealthy real estate mogul who decides to leave his fortune behind in search of personal fulfillment, genuine friendship, and true love. Marcus, a man of integrity and the rightful heir to his family’s vast commercial and residential development empire, becomes deeply disillusioned when he discovers the ruthless and unethical methods his family employs to maximize their profits, even at the expense of innocent lives. He escapes his high-profile existence and settles in a small town, adopting a new low-key persona as a handyman named ‘Dom’. He discovers a fresh version of himself, meaningful connections, and a deep affection. Danielle Nicolet portrays ‘Kennedy,’ a single mother, dance instructor, and small business owner of the local small-town cafe. She also becomes the love interest of ‘Dom/Marcus.’ Kennedy and her brother are determined to keep their small business afloat, even in the face of the economic challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. Marcus, also known as “Dom,” finds himself in a moral quandary as his family’s company invades his peaceful small-town refuge and attempts to seize land from his newfound companions. Upon discovering their scheme through the Bank family’s cunning “Fixer” Simon, portrayed by Brandon T. Jackson.
The cast is complemented by Reece Odum (“Saints & Sinners”), who portrays the character of ‘Jasmine,’ Marcus’ ruthless and highly driven sister, determined to seize control of the family business at any cost. Mandela Van Peebles (“Reginald The Vampire”) takes on the role of Kenedy’s brother, ‘Daniel.’
