“God has prepared me for this moment,” Bowe confidently expressed as we delved into a discussion about his journey as an artist.   Dante Bowe’s self-titled project has sparked both praise and ridicule for his venture into the realm of R&B music. He initially gained recognition as a gospel artist after releasing his second studio album “Circles”, while being a member of Maverick City. I think it goes to acknowledge that his solo project earned him a Grammy nomination prior to the growing notoriety of the group. However, Dante is eager to emphasize that he creates art as a reflection of his personal life and the current times.  

Dante expressed his passion for music, clarifying that his musical preferences have evolved over time.   “Here’s how I would phrase it: I am an artist,” Dante added. He is currently creating music that resonates with all of us, coming from a relatable and down-to-earth perspective.   According to him, his music delves into the various experiences we encounter, particularly in our relationships with romantic partners, family members, friends, and even colleagues.   “It’s not always just about my relationship with God,” Bowe stated.  

The project features songs such as Breaking All My Rules, Wind Me Up, Trouble, and Need Somebody.   The music encompasses elements of reggae, gospel, pop, and R&B, creating a rich and diverse sound.   And that’s because Dante emphasized that this album was intended to be rich in cultural elements.  

“The album is like my personal diary,” Bowe explained when asked to provide further insight into the project.   This time, he approached the creation process with a deep sense of personal connection and vulnerability.   The author’s words provide a deep insight into his innermost thoughts and emotions.   He is putting everything on the line by naming this project after himself.  

He mentioned that he and his team were experimenting with the name Press Play and were having trouble selecting a song from the project as a name.   According to Bowe, he felt a strong personal connection to the project, which ultimately led him to the decision to name it Dante Bowe.  

The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter faced some challenges when it came to making the decision to move in this direction and create this album.   “God does for us, what we can’t do for ourselves,” Bowe replied, which gave him the courage to make this move in his career.   He emphasized that his current endeavors require a significant amount of faith.  

Dante posed a thought-provoking question to those around him, particularly those he held dear: “Where was the love?” He was abandoned by many without any warning. “However, I had grown accustomed to it since I faced criticism when I was excelling in gospel music.” “They will always have something to say,” Bowe stated.  

“I change for the Holy Spirit. I change for God. I don’t change for people,” stated Bowe. 

However, his faith in God allows him to overcome any challenges that come his way.   The project beautifully reflects a deep and unwavering faith in God, evident in songs like Your Majesty, In Your Hands, and Glory to God.  

Dante confidently stated, “I have a clear vision of how I want to portray myself.”   And I aim to present myself completely.   He suggests that individuals in professional fields often become overly rigid in their approach to their work.   He strongly advocates for increased flexibility in people.   Being open-minded and adaptable in life allows you to better perceive and understand the plans that God has for you.   And there’s no need to worry, even if his plans may change for you, he will always make sure you’re taken care of.  

“I believe my children will be proud of me,” Bowe expressed.   The way he conducts himself and fearlessly maneuvers through the industry is a true testament to his desire to serve as a leader and role model for others.   To take pride in the legacy we will all leave behind one day.  

This album, in my opinion, showcases the artistic expression of an individual who conveys the idea that one’s personal connection with God is a deeply personal and unique experience.   Dante is poised to embark on a captivating new chapter of his life, brimming with personal growth, profound insights, and a quest for inner balance.
