DISNEY+ DEBUTS “STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE” TRAILER & ART
The trailer and key art for Lucasfilm’s new, original series “Star Wars: The Acolyte” were unveiled by Disney+. The exciting, live-action series premieres on Tuesday, June 4, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.
“Star Wars: The Acolyte” tells the story of a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) who finds himself facing a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg) as they investigate a shocking crime spree. As additional evidence surfaces, they embark on a mysterious journey where malevolent powers expose a hidden truth…
The cast of the series includes Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
The series was created by Leslye Headland and is based on Star Wars by George Lucas. Leslye Headland also serves as an executive producer, alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef. Charmaine DeGraté and Kor Adana serve as the co-executive producers. The producers of the project include Rayne Roberts, Damian Anderson, Eileen Shim, and Rob Bredow.
Headland was also in charge of directing the premiere episodes (Eps. 101 & 102). The series is directed by Kogonada (Eps. 103 & 107), Alex Garcia Lopez (Eps. 104 & 105), and Hanelle Culpepper (Eps. 106 & 108).
Michael Abels, a highly acclaimed composer recognized for his exceptional contributions to films such as “Get Out” and “Us,” has been chosen to compose the score for “Star Wars: The Acolyte.”
