  • May 3, 2024

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for its upcoming sci-fi thriller “Dark Matter,” featuring an impressive cast including Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi, and Oakes Fegley. The highly anticipated Apple Original series, based on the bestselling book by renowned author Blake Crouch, is set to captivate audiences worldwide. Premiering on Apple TV+, the series will debut with two episodes on Wednesday, May 8, followed by a new episode every Wednesday until June 26, 2024.

Regarded as a standout sci-fi novel of the decade, “Dark Matter” delves into the concept of missed opportunities. Jason Dessen, portrayed by Edgerton, is a physicist, professor, and devoted family man. One fateful night in Chicago, he finds himself mysteriously transported into a parallel reality. The sense of wonder quickly transforms into a nightmarish experience as he attempts to navigate the mind-bending landscape of alternate lives he could have led. Within the intricate web of alternate realities, he sets out on a perilous quest to reunite with his rightful kin and protect them from an indomitable adversary: his own reflection of fear.

Crouch serves as the creator, executive producer, showrunner, and writer for Matt Tolmach Productions, alongside executive producers Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl. Edgerton also fulfills the role of executive producer. Produced for Apple TV+ by Sony Pictures Television, “Dark Matter” is a captivating show.

Adding to the lineup of highly praised sci-fi Apple Original series like “Foundation,” “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” “Silo,” “For All Mankind,” and “Invasion,” “Dark Matter” has become a global hit and a valuable addition.

Apple TV+ provides a wide range of high-quality drama and comedy series, feature films, documentaries, and kids and family entertainment, accessible on all your preferred devices. Since its launch on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ has emerged as a trailblazer in the world of streaming services.
