First Look Trailer at IMAGINARY by Blumhouse
The creators of genre-defining films like FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S and M3GAN, Blumhouse, have created an original horror film that explores the concept of imaginary friends, and it raises the question of whether or not these friends are simply figments of a child’s imagination, or whether or not there is something more sinister lurking just beneath the surface.
When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) and her family move back into the house where she grew up, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) has a strange bond with a stuffed bear named Chauncey that she discovers in the basement. Alice and Chauncey begin to engage in a series of games that start out light-hearted but progressively get more menacing.
Jessica steps in to help Alice when her behavior becomes increasingly worrying; but, after she does so, she discovers that the plush bear Chauncey she thought he was is actually much more than that.
