Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan Reunite in First Look at ‘Freakier Friday’—Coming to Theaters August 2025
Lightning is striking twice! Disney has officially dropped the teaser trailer and poster for Freakier Friday, the highly anticipated sequel to Freaky Friday (2003), and fans are already buzzing. Set to hit theaters on August 8, 2025, the film reunites Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan as the iconic mother-daughter duo, Tess and Anna Coleman, in an all-new body-swapping adventure.
Directed by Nisha Ganatra, Freakier Friday picks up years after Tess and Anna’s original identity crisis. Now, Anna is a mother herself—balancing life with her own daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. But just when things couldn’t get more complicated, fate (and perhaps a little bit of magic) intervenes once again, throwing the family into another unexpected switch-up.
Joining Curtis and Lohan is an exciting ensemble cast, including Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon. The film is produced by Kristin Burr, Andrew Gunn, and Jamie Lee Curtis, with Lindsay Lohan also stepping in as an executive producer alongside Nathan Kelly and Ann Marie Sanderlin.

With its mix of nostalgia and fresh twists, Freakier Friday is shaping up to be a must-watch for both longtime fans and a new generation. Stay tuned—because if history tells us anything, this is going to be one freaky ride!
