On-Set with Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Chris Hemsworth, and Brian Tyree Henry Bring Serious Fun to Their New Roles in Transformers One

  • September 30, 2024

Ever wonder what it’s like when some of Hollywood’s biggest stars take on explosive sci-fi and nostalgic action-packed adventures? We got an exclusive peek behind the scenes, where Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Chris Hemsworth, and Brian Tyree Henry dished on their upcoming projects—and trust us, it’s a wild ride!

Scarlett Johansson & Keegan-Michael Key: From Intense Sci-Fi Drama to Laugh-Out-Loud Moments

Scarlett Johansson’s new character Alita is all business—a sharp, no-nonsense leader who’s laser-focused on climbing the ranks and rallying her friends to take on some pretty epic bad guys. “She’s got this intensity that’s almost overwhelming at times,” Scarlett says, laughing, “but she’s also completely blindsided when she realizes how deep she’s in. It’s a real wake-up call.”

But just when you think things might get too serious, in swoops Keegan-Michael Key as B 126, a low-level worker bot with the sunniest outlook in the universe. “He’s like this little ball of positivity who’s always cracking jokes—because someone has to when everything’s falling apart!” Key grins. Their chemistry? Think: fire meets ice with a side of perfectly timed punchlines. It’s that perfect mix of tension, humor, and unexpected twists that’s sure to have fans buzzing.

Chris Hemsworth & Brian Tyree Henry: Bringing Transformers Back in Style

Meanwhile, in the Transformers corner, Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry are revving up to take us back to Cybertron! These two are childhood fans themselves, and they’re diving headfirst into the iconic franchise—just with a twist. Chris, voicing a younger, more playful Optimus Prime, says he’s embracing a version of the character that’s still finding his footing. “It’s like getting to play a superhero—only he’s also a giant, badass robot.”

Brian Tyree Henry, on the other hand, is all about exploring the darker side of things with Megatron. “I always loved the villains growing up,” he confesses with a sly smile. “But this isn’t just the ‘evil Megatron’ you think you know. There’s so much more to him—loyalty, conflict, all that Shakespearean drama.” Between them, they’re making Transformers more than just explosions and action (though there’s plenty of that, too!).

A New World of Fun: From Power Struggles to Transforming Robots

Scarlett and Keegan’s project will have you gripping your seats with high-stakes leadership battles, while still sneaking in some laugh-out-loud moments that only these two can pull off. Meanwhile, Chris and Brian’s Transformers gig throws you right into a larger-than-life Cybertron showdown, with themes that’ll hit close to home. The cast is having a blast, and it’s clear that energy will jump off the screen.

With powerhouse performances, killer one-liners, and characters you’ll want to root for (or against), both films promise a thrilling, emotional, and totally entertaining experience. Whether you’re in it for Scarlett and Keegan’s high-tension chemistry or Chris and Brian’s epic robot battles, one thing’s for sure: you won’t want to miss a second of it. Grab your popcorn and get ready for a wild ride!
