Prime Video Drops Official Trailer for Cruel Intentions Series, Premiering November 21

  • Michael Cox
  • November 4, 2024

Prime Video has released the tantalizing trailer and key art for Cruel Intentions, the highly anticipated series reboot of the iconic 1999 film, with all eight episodes set to premiere on November 21. Twenty-five years after the original movie stunned audiences with its provocative mix of drama, manipulation, and scandal, this new adaptation introduces a fresh cast of cunning characters who are ready to elevate the game of seduction and deception.

Set at the elite Manchester College near Washington, D.C., Cruel Intentions follows ambitious step-siblings Caroline Merteuil (Sarah Catherine Hook) and Lucien Belmont (Zac Burgess), who will stop at nothing to maintain their dominance in the cutthroat world of Greek Life. When a hazing scandal threatens the entire Greek system, they plot to seduce Annie Grover (Savannah Lee Smith), the daughter of the Vice President of the United States, to preserve their reputation and power. As secrets are revealed and alliances tested, Manchester College becomes a modern-day battleground where reputations are currency, and ambition knows no bounds.

The cast includes Sarah Catherine Hook as Caroline, Zac Burgess as Lucien, Savannah Lee Smith as Annie, along with Sara Silva, John Harlan Kim, Khobe Clarke, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Brooke Lena Johnson. The series is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, and Original Film, with Sara Goodman and Phoebe Fisher serving as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers. Neal H. Moritz, who produced the original film, returns as executive producer alongside Roger Kumble, who directed and wrote the 1999 classic.

With its seductive twists and high-stakes drama, Cruel Intentions promises to be the year’s ultimate guilty pleasure, offering a binge-worthy journey into a world where desire and deception rule. Prepare to indulge in this scandalous revival on Prime Video, premiering globally on November 21.
