The highly anticipated season three of “Acapulco” has made its return, with the first two episodes that premiered worldwide on Wednesday, May 1. Season three of “Acapulco” invites us to confront our past mistakes and embrace thrilling new opportunities. In the present story, older Máximo (Derbez) returns to a Las Colinas that has drastically changed. In 1985, a young Máximo (Enrique Arrizon) strives for success, but risks damaging the relationships he has worked tirelessly to establish.
The “Acapulco” ensemble cast, which includes Fernando Carsa, Damián Alcázar, Camila Perez, Vanessa Bauche, Regina Reynoso, Raphael Alejandro, Jessica Collins, Rafael Cebrián, Regina Orozco, and Carlos Corona, will be joined by recurring guest stars Jaime Camil and Cristo Fernandez for season three.
Coming from Lionsgate Television, “Acapulco” draws inspiration from the successful film “How to Be A Latin Lover” by 3Pas Studios and Pantelion Films. This exciting project is a collaboration between Lionsgate Television, 3Pas Studios, Zihuatanejo Productions, and The Tannenbaum Company, exclusively for Apple. Derbez not only stars in the series, but also takes on the role of executive producer alongside Ben Odell. The series was created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman. Winsberg is also an executive producer, along with Sam Laybourne who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Kim and Eric Tannenbaum, along with Jaime Eliezer Karas, serve as executive producers, alongside Jason Wang representing The Tannenbaum Company and Paul Presburger.
