A24 has given the green light for a sequel to “Talk to Me,” a supernatural horror film that has consistently exceeded box office expectations.

Danny and Michael Philippou, who made their directorial debut with the thrilling horror film, will be coming back to direct the sequel. Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman are collaborating on writing the screenplay. No plot details have been revealed.

The film “Talk to Me” premiered in theaters on July 28 and exceeded expectations by earning $10 million in its opening weekend. The ticket sales for A24’s latest release ranked as the second-highest opening in wide release, just behind “Hereditary” which earned $13.6 million. The film has earned an impressive $23.2 million at the domestic box office.
